GARY FOSINA
Executive Chef

Gary has over 25 years experience working in the Food & Beverage Hospitality sector as both an executive and an entrepreneur.  After obtaining his degree in Hospitality at SUNY Cobleskill, he began his career with the Rye Town Hilton in the NYC Metro area.  He then worked as protégé to Executive Chefs in Atlantic City, Washington DC, Cincinnati and Dallas participating in food shows throughout the country.

   
Gary returned to New York in 1992 at the Sheraton Park Ave Russell Hotel in his first Executive Chef position.  His success on Park Avenue led to his moving within the ITT/Starwood organization to other high profile properties, including the Sheraton Manhattan & Hotel Towers, and the Sheraton Meadowlands.  Gary left the Sheraton family in 1999 for an expanded role as Director of Food & Beverage at the Warwick Hotel in NYC.


When approached in 2004 by New York Yankees superstar, Mariano Rivera, to partner on a restaurant venture, Gary could not resist.  Gary’s first stint as an entrepreneur culminated with the launch of Mo’s New York Grill in 2005 as Executive Chef and Restaurant Manager.  After a high profile five year successful partnership, Mariano’s pending retirement from baseball led to his selling the restaurant and enabled Gary to rejoin his Sheraton team at the LaGuardia East Hotel from 2012 – 2016.

In 2016, Gary joined Hilton Hotels as Executive Chef with roles in the Hilton in Long Island City and most recently for the past three years with the Westchester Hilton.  The closing of the  Westchester Hilton has led Gary back to his entrepreneural roots by forming his Soup2Nutz catering business in which he will provide all occasion catering for you, your friends and family.
